03 / Dairy
Care for animals. Support families.
Katlabodi dairy model
The Katlabodi dairy model explores how families could make more of their daily dairy work. It studies animal care, using cattle dung for fuel and fertiliser, and collecting or processing milk.
WHAT WE’RE EXPLORING
Three things to work on.
- 01
Care for the animals
Explore better feed, water and animal health.
- 02
Put dung to use
Study how cattle dung could become gas for cooking and fertiliser for farms.
- 03
Do more with milk
Explore milk collection, cooling and processing to support dairy families.
A note on this project’s stage
The supplied model does not identify a college author. It is not attributed to NIT Nagpur or NIT Kurukshetra. Its older animal records, milk production figures, costs and household needs must be checked in the village. These are possible benefits, not results already achieved.
